New York Times Lists Their "10 Best Books of 2008"

Christmas has arrived early! The New York Times as just released their list of the 10 best books of 2008. Apparently I am shamefully behind in my contemporary reading, because I've only read one of them: Jhumpa Lahiri's Unaccustomed Earth. I can't feel too bad though, because it means that when I finish the book I'm currently reading (Hemingway's A Farewell to Arms for my lit. class) I'll have 9 more pre-screened, highly recommended books to sink my teeth into. There is no greater joy.

Happy Reading!

  1. Thanks for the link. I do find it a tad disconcerting that three of the nonfiction books are on the subject of war. I might have to add Nothing to be frightened of to my waiting queue of books I have yet to get to. I find it intriguing as the motivation of agnosticism seems to elude many and I am interested that it departs from the "science and mystery" argument.
